Cannon Green Event Spaces
Fleming shares, “Our venue consists of four very unique spaces. The Garden Room, which is an intimate space with a historic Charleston home facade and beautiful skylights.
“Our restaurant, Wild Common, which features Chef Orlando’s Tasting Menu experience.
“Our Courtyard, which while it is rented with the Trolley Room, is a unique stand-alone oasis flanked by reflecting pools and statuesque palmetto trees. This area is perfect for a wedding ceremony and/or cocktail hour.
“Then, our fourth and largest event space, The Trolley Room, which is a historic trolley barn that can seat up to 150 guests for dinner. No matter the type of event, The Trolley Room is a blank canvas that can easily be transformed to fit your event needs.”

Fleming says their most unique space is The Trolley Room. “This space truly is a blank canvas and is able to meet any event’s needs, plus bring a phenomenal vision to life. Whether it be a stationed dinner, a seated, formal event, a presentation, or a cocktail party, this space can be set up in a variety of ways with no two events looking the same,” Fleming notes.
She continues, “The front of the Trolley Room is flanked by bookshelves on either side, so this is a great place to put a speaker, your bar, or DJ to allow them to stand out!”

Style #1: Pops of Preppy Pastels
This stunning preppy wedding style takes inspiration from Southern fashion and seasonal florals. The centerpieces and floral arrangements decorating the venue make a beautiful statement without masking the raw beauty of the space.
For a weather-safe option, this couple tented The Courtyard where the outdoor ceremony was held. This allowed for a stress-free wedding, as well as a natural flow from the indoor Garden and Trolley Rooms to the outdoor courtyard during the reception.

Fleming continues, “Our Trolley Room is adjacent to the Courtyard, so this allows for a smooth flow for guests to go from the inside to the outside all evening.
“The courtyard has luscious greenery and water flowing that makes you feel like you’re in an entirely different place.” This area is ideal for a cocktail hour, reception, or intimate dinner party. Dress it up with colorful florals, interesting tablescapes, and more.
Style #2: Neutral & Classic Elegance
This elegant wedding style is a blend of romantic and classic elements. The abundance of greenery filing the tables and hanging from the ceiling gives The Trolley Room a fresh springtime ambiance. The Courtyard served as the perfect setting for this dreamy wedding ceremony, transforming then into a cocktail hour space.

There are many ways to configure the layout of your event space. Fleming notes, “I love when people do a long table down the middle of the space with tables surrounding it on either side. This makes this large space feel both communal and intimate, while having a clean layout.”

Style #3: Modern Pink Chic
This wedding presents a chic modern style. The Trolley Room’s wooden ceiling beams are perfect for creating wow-worthy ceiling installations. Hang wedding ceiling décor above your head table as an elegant way to draw attention to the couple and their wedding party amidst a room of dining tables.

In addition to Cannon Green being a stunning venue for all types of events, Charleston is a fabulous town with much to see and do. Conveniently, “The venue is located in a wonderful neighborhood that is surrounded by luxury Airbnb’s and B&B’s,” Fleming tells us. “Many of our clients and couples choose to rent these for getting ready, as well as for weekend accommodations for family members and guests,” she notes.
