On March 7, 2023, tastemakers of the Miami events industry convened at The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science for an out-of-this-world evening full of galactic glamour. Thanks to the unmatched artistry of planner and event designer Annie Lee of Daughter of Design and PLANNIE, guests were met with exciting experiences at every turn. From the stunning décor and production to the talented performers and packed dance floor, this futuristic fête had all the makings of a truly unforgettable evening.
Upon entering the museum, guests were greeted with an LED walkway, which led them into the Aquarium. They paused for a photo op in front of a marine exhibit and a larger-than-life, custom-built PartySlate logo, courtesy of 2R Creative.
Carefully curated furnishings, supplied by Lavish Event Rentals, set the stage for this magical night. Whether guests were relaxing in the chic lounge areas or enjoying cocktails at the high-top tables, they were immersed in a contemporary design that was true to the outer space theme. 2R Creative provided jaw-dropping custom installations — including a Mylar PartySlate backdrop wall and light-up decorative globes — that drove the futuristic ambience home.
Of course, no event is complete without outstanding entertainment, and Élan Artists made sure to deliver. First, guests were greeted by performers donning extraterrestrial-inspired attire. As the night progressed, the 14-piece band — backed by a team of talented dancers — set the tone for a high-energy evening. After their impressive performance, a DJ kept everyone on the dance floor.
When attendees first arrived in the Ocean Gallery, Annie Lee took the stage to greet everyone with a few welcoming words — that is, until Event Factor’s robot invaders whisked her away. Robotic stilt performers fired up their smoke cannons to fill the dance floor before joining in on the Élan team’s choreography.
Feeel VR’s virtual reality technology provided guests with interactive entertainment that they won’t soon forget. Every element of these incredible performances was made possible by STR-Miami’s cutting-edge a/v and technology services.
To commemorate the festivities, attendees took to a photo booth that was custom built for the occasion by 2R Creative and outfitted with 360° video equipment from MIA Photobooth. Face Time Beauty’s makeup station ensured that every guest was adorned with galactic touches — like metallic silver eyeshadow and wearable rhinestones — before posing for the perfect photo op.
Between networking, dancing, and celebrating the booming Miami events scene, attendees worked up an appetite — and Constellation Culinary Group knew just how to satisfy it. With innovative themed dishes, including floating tartare bowls and CBD-infused “bubbling” ramen, they set a new standard for gourmet catering. Guests also enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and a roaming caviar cart throughout the evening.
The delectable bites were accompanied by custom cocktails, courtesy of Craft Cartel- Cocktail Caterer. Smoke-infused libations and vaporized alcohol served via balloons are just two testaments to this cocktail caterer’s creativity. Each drink featured a hand-painted acrylic stir stick, provided by Acrylic Sticks, that added even further futuristic flair.
From the very first photo op to the last song of the evening, this celestial celebration was a night to remember. Guests seized the opportunity to mix, mingle, and make merry amidst the work of some of the best event professionals Miami has to offer. The connections made and relationships fostered at this glamorous, galactic gala are sure to last — making the Miami events community stronger than ever and ready to continue wowing clients for years to come.
