Even as live events return, the new world of hybrid and virtual events is certain to continue into 2021 and beyond. After all, both event planners and party hosts have discovered the silver lining of having a virtual component. Not only can virtual components amplify in-person events, they also allow companies to reach new audiences. Virtual Events create greater accessibility by allowing guests to attend a gathering without a commute or potentially lengthy travel.
On Tuesday, January 5, 2020, PartySlate Founder and CEO Julie Roth Novack and Managing Editor Pamela Rothbard sat down with premier event planner Kristin Banta of Kristin Banta Events to discuss the creative process in producing successful hybrid and virtual events. Kristin began by sharing how her company pivoted during the COVID-19 pandemic, including designing a new line of face masks and joining the board of a company that is pioneering new ways to gather in the virtual space, Allseated.
Kristen went on to discuss how designers can impact a virtual event space and the ways to get creative with an at-home experience. She also shared some of her current virtual designs — along with the creative process behind them.
The discussion concluded with Kristin exploring the future of the events industry and what’s next for the exciting world of virtual events.
