What makes a celebration really stand out from the crowd?
A curated playlist is for sure at the top of my list. Nothing is more fun in my book than dancing and singing along to my favorite hits with my friends and family. I may or may not be guilty of being that girl at the DJ booth that is constantly requesting songs which I am convinced will have everyone on their feet. What can I say? I like a good dance party!
What do you remember most about your all-time favorite celebration?
Growing up, my fabulous mother always threw me the most spectacular birthday parties. Whether it was a pool party at my Bubbe’s house or a trip to the American Girl Doll store for brunch, my mother never failed to make me feel like the most special girl in the world. If I had to put an A++ on a celebration, I would have to choose my 18th birthday party. My over-the-top mother gathered my closest friends and family for a boat ride along the coast of Lake Michigan. We sailed across the water, dancing (of course!), while seeing magnificent views of the beautiful Chicago skyline.
